Crackers – Seed

These seed crackers are a great grain free snack that is sure to please and are also nutritious accompaniments to Nourish Bowls and to have with dips.
Ingredients:
1 cup of almond flour
2 teaspoons of chia seeds
2 tablespoon of flaxseeds
2 tablespoon of pepita seeds
2 egg white
1 pinch of Himalayan or sea salt
approx. 100ml of water (you are trying to form a dough)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 160 deg. C
- In a bowl, mix the almond flour, seeds, egg white and salt until if forms a paste. Let it sit
- Grease a slice tray and then line it with baking paper. Oil the baking paper.
- Place the dough in the middle of the paper and top with another piece of oiled paper.
- Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough as thin as you can.
- When done, peel off the top layer of paper and score the dough to the cracker shape and size you desire.
- Bake in the oven at 160 deg. C for ten minutes and then check.
- You want them to have a slight colour – this means they will be crispy but they won’t have a burnt taste.
- Remove the crackers that are coloured and return the rest to the oven.
- Repeating this procedure every five minutes until all the crackers are done.
- Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
